Job Responsibilities:
As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special education needs.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create supportive educational environments.
- Providing direct counseling services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Offering crisis intervention and support to students and families.
- Conducting staff training and workshops on mental health and special education topics.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Engaging with parents and guardians to provide resources and support for their childrens academic and emotional needs.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid School Psychologist certification in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations concerning special education.
