Occupational Therapist (OT) Full-Time Opportunity
Location: Scranton, PA
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time role with school districts in the Scranton, PA area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students in a school setting, providing essential therapy services to help them succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy License.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Must meet local and state requirements for working in school districts in Pennsylvania, including background checks and fingerprinting.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, teachers, and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and other developmental concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students needs, goals, and educational requirements.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students functional abilities and determine therapy needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and ensure students' participation in school routines.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings and provide progress updates.
- Provide training and support to teachers and parents to assist students with daily activities and classroom tasks.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Assist with the development and use of adaptive equipment to support students learning.
