Position Requirements:
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Compliance: Must meet all local and state requirements, including background checks and certifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
- Help students develop skills necessary for daily tasks such as handwriting, fine motor skills, and self-care
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
- Provide direct therapy services to students and monitor their progress
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Conduct workshops or training for staff on strategies to support students with special needs
