School Social Worker Full-Time Opportunity

Qualifications:

Must hold an active Minnesota School Social Worker license or equivalent certification.
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
Must meet local and state requirements for working in school districts in Minnesota, including background checks and fingerprinting.
Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of social work interventions, mental health support, and community resources.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling services to students dealing with a variety of issues, including behavioral, emotional, and social concerns.
Conduct assessments to identify students needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create and implement behavior intervention plans.
Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during difficult situations.
Educate students and staff on topics such as mental health awareness, bullying prevention, and coping strategies.
Connect students and families with community resources and outside services when needed.
Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.
