Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a supportive school district in Madison, New Jersey. This part-time role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students daily lives and overall development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to support students' fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Work with students individually or in small groups, targeting skills essential for classroom success
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a cohesive plan for student growth
- Document student progress, update treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records
- Educate teachers and families on techniques to enhance student progress outside therapy sessions
Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of state regulations and practices related to school-based occupational therapy
