Position Overview: Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced and compassionate School Psychologist for a full-time position within a partnered school district in the Sterling, IL area. Key Responsibilities: The School Psychologist will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students learning, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Providing counseling and therapeutic support to students as needed
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of appropriate goals and supports for students
- Consulting with teachers, administrators, and parents to improve student outcomes and classroom environments
- Maintaining accurate records and reports in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to complete all state-mandated background checks and fingerprinting
