Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide crucial speech and language services in a school-based setting in Richmond, IL. As an SLP, you will work closely with students who have communication disorders, helping them overcome challenges and succeed academically, socially, and personally. This position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about making a lasting impact in students lives through personalized and evidence-based intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in small group settings, focusing on improving students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support the overall educational experience and ensure cohesive student progress.
- Maintain comprehensive records, track progress, and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to discuss student goals and outcomes.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Illinois state SLP license required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred but not required.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting.
