Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistantsfor a full-time role within school districts in the Belle Chasse, LA area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in implementing therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Conduct speech and language screenings and document findings.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Prepare therapy materials and organize activities for speech-language sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report findings to the supervising SLP.
- Support communication development and collaborate with teachers and school staff to reinforce strategies in the classroom.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- A valid Louisiana SLPA license issued by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.
- Must meet state-mandated background check and clearance requirements.
