Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position to work with school districts in the Belle Chasse, LA area. This role offers an opportunity to make a difference in students' lives by providing essential speech and language support.
Requirements:
- Hold an active state SLPA license
- Completion of an Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Conducting speech-language screenings without formal evaluation
- Following treatment plans or protocols established by the SLP
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with the development of alternative communication methods for non-verbal students
- Supporting students in classroom and individual settings to help reach speech and language goals
