Blazer Jobs is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an on-site position in Norwalk, CT. This role involves providing direct support to students of various ages across the K-12 range, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, to help improve students' functional and academic performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy interventions as prescribed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct therapy to students, focusing on activities of daily living, motor skills, and sensory processing.
- Work with students individually or in small groups to address goals outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to support the students overall development.
Qualifications:
- COTA certification required.
- Must have prior experience working in a school setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
