Blazerworks, in partnership with the Fredericksburg school district, is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to positively impact students' lives by providing essential OT services that promote growth, independence, and academic success.
Position Details:
- Role: School Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Location: Fredericksburg, VA
- Employment Type: Full-Time, School Year Contract (2024-2025)
- Schedule: Follows the school district calendar, with potential summer opportunities available
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse needs, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a cohesive approach to each students educational and developmental goals
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Offer strategies and tools for classroom accommodations to support students academic participation and engagement

Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-based populations (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with a multidisciplinary team
