BlazerJobs is currently seeking a School Social Worker (SW)/Counselor for a full-time position (35 hours/wk) in Sacramento, CA. The position will support elementary school students and requires PPS Certification.
Position Details:
- Full-Time: 35 hours/week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 hours/day
- Caseload: Elementary School Students
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 2024-2025 school year
- Pay: Starting at $50/hr+ (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to elementary school students
- Develop and implement interventions to support students' social-emotional development and mental health
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Conduct assessments and provide support for students dealing with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary
- Help students improve coping skills, social skills, and conflict resolution strategies
- Maintain accurate records of counseling services and interventions
Qualifications:
- PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential is required
- Experience working as a school social worker or counselor, preferably in an elementary school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and community resources
- Passion for supporting the mental and emotional well-being of students
