Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position within a school district in the South Holland, IL area. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside certified Speech Language Pathologists in supporting students communication and language development. Renewal for the following school year will be based on performance.

Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Certification: Valid SLPA certification in Illinois as per state requirements
- Education: Completion of an accredited SLPA program or associates degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant studies
- Experience: Prior experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred
- Clearances: Successful completion of Illinois state background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will:
- Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to students
- Assist with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's communication needs
- Conduct speech and language exercises with students to improve articulation, fluency, and overall language skills
- Collect and record data on student progress and communicate results to supervising SLP and educational team
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain a conducive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support each students success
