Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and emotional support to students facing personal, social, or academic challenges
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote students social and emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students needs and improve school performance
- Conduct assessments, crisis interventions, and home visits when necessary
- Facilitate communication between the school, families, and community resources
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines, including IEP and 504 plan support
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work or related field
- Illinois School Social Worker certification (PEL required)
- At least one year of experience working in a school or similar setting
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff
- Must meet all federal and state requirements for licensing and certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
