Position Overview:
As the School Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct services and support to students with diverse needs, helping them develop essential skills for academic and personal success. You will work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to create a positive, inclusive environment tailored to each student's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Provide direct therapy services to help students improve fine motor skills, self-care abilities, sensory processing, and other functional skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate strategies into the classroom and home environments
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor progress toward established goals
- Participate in IEP meetings to support comprehensive student plans and advocate for necessary accommodations

Requirements:
- Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
- Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of working with children and adolescents
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
