Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a part-time contract position in Darlington, SC. This school-based role is ideal for professionals dedicated to fostering the academic and emotional growth of students, particularly those in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students needs and strengths.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students facing emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
- Consult with school staff on effective strategies for supporting diverse learners.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing ongoing support and modifications to intervention strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students in need.
- Stay informed about state and federal regulations regarding school psychology and special education services.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid South Carolina School Psychologist Certification.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
- Commitment to advocating for the needs and well-being of students.
