Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a part-time role within the Atascadero, CA school district. Job Requirements
Qualified applicants must meet the following:
- Licensure: Active California Speech Language Pathology license.
- Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, with a strong understanding of IEPs and special education.
- Skills: Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and development of individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Assessments and Screenings: Evaluate students communication skills, including speech, language, and social interaction abilities.
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Collaborate with the IEP team to create individualized plans, providing targeted interventions based on student needs.
- Provide Direct Therapy: Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in small groups.
- Document Progress: Maintain accurate records, document student performance, and provide progress reports.
- Collaborate with Educators and Families: Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to reinforce communication strategies in the classroom and at home.
