Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments to identify students speech, language, and communication needs
- Developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Providing direct therapy services to students, using evidence-based techniques
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' progress
- Documenting sessions, progress, and maintaining compliance with IEPs and school guidelines
- Conducting group therapy sessions when appropriate
- Participating in meetings, such as IEPs, to contribute to students' overall educational plans
Qualifications
- Hold an active state Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of state and federal guidelines for special education and SLP services in schools
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus but not required
