Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support services to students, addressing emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to improve student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and case management.
- Facilitate communication between home, school, and community resources.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and prepare necessary reports.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding student welfare and educational support.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Meet state certification requirements for School Social Workers.
- Prior experience in a school or educational setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of child development, mental health issues, and crisis intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families.
