Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create personalized interventions.
- Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources.
- Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support during emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Education, License, and Certification Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Kansas State Board of Education School Social Worker certification.
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) in Kansas.
- At least one year of experience as a School Social Worker or in a related field.
