Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with students IEPs.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or services.
- Stay updated on evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required).
- Current New York State SLP license and certification (required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
- Prior experience working in school settings (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a student-centered approach.
