Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) New Britain, CT
Blazerworks is thrilled to announce a partnership with a school district in New Britain, CT, to hire a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 school year. Position Overview:
- Location: New Britain, CT
- Type: Full-time
- Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
- Caseload: Caseload details will be discussed during the interview and will align with the candidate's experience and preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to students with varying needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique challenges and goals.
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring to assess student needs and track improvement.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents, and other professionals to support student achievement.
- Provide consultation and support to staff to foster inclusive practices in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school, district, and state guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current Connecticut SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFs will also be considered with proper supervision.
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
