Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Develop and implement intervention plans and support the social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies to improve student behavior and emotional health.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing personal or family-related issues.
- Conduct assessments and provide case management services for students requiring additional resources or referrals.
- Promote restorative practices and conflict resolution strategies within the school setting.
- Assist in the development of a safe and inclusive school culture for all students.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or a related field.
- Current Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential or ability to obtain it.
- Experience in school social work or working with children in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of restorative practices, crisis intervention, and student advocacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
