Job Opportunity: Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist Newton, MA Area
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time role with school districts in the Newton, MA area. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the effective implementation of therapy goals.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Provide guidance and strategies to educators and parents for supporting speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student progress and goals.
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student needs and progress.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Massachusetts.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus.
- Other Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and professionals.
- Must pass a background check and meet any additional district requirements.
