School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position within a school district in the Lawrence, MI area. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to support students in achieving their communication and academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students based on their unique needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in one-on-one or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for communication interventions.
- Educate school staff and families about speech and language development and strategies to support students.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
- Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license (required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing special education and therapy services.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting (preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
