Position Details:
- Location: Remote (Michigan-based)
- Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
- Compensation: Dependent on the district and years of experience
Requirements:
- Licensing:
- Must be licensed as a Social Worker in the state of Michigan.
- Certification:
- All local and state certification requirements must be met.
- Technology Familiarity:
- Must be comfortable using various technology platforms to deliver remote services and support remote teaching.
- Experience:
- Prior experience as a Social Worker, especially in a school setting, is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote social work services to students with special needs in a school setting.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual or group counseling sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor students social-emotional progress and provide strategies to improve their well-being.
- Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary and support students through emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided.
- Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to provide updates on students progress.
