Key Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will:
- Assess and evaluate students' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate speech therapy into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct screenings and assessments in accordance with district and state requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations to support student development.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid South Carolina SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFYs are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to special education.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
