Your Role:
As a School Social Worker, you will provide essential counseling services to students in need, helping them navigate personal struggles and enhance their social and emotional growth. Youll collaborate with staff and families to create tailored intervention plans and ensure students thrive both academically and socially.
Responsibilities:

Counseling & Emotional Support:
- Offer individual and group counseling to students with emotional, social, or behavioral challenges.
- Support students in developing coping strategies, managing stress, and resolving conflicts.

Assessment & Tailored Support Plans:
- Assess students' emotional and social needs.
- Develop personalized support plans and monitor progress toward student goals.

Collaboration with Staff & Families:
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a strong support network for students.
- Contribute insights and recommendations at team meetings to refine care strategies.

Crisis Management & Long-Term Solutions:
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support.
- Work with school personnel to develop long-term strategies and resources for students in need of continuous support.

Advocacy & Mental Health Education:
- Champion mental health awareness and social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives.
- Help integrate wellness programs and mental health education into the schools culture.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree in School Social Work or a related field.
- Licensure: Active School Social Worker license in Pennsylvania, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Experience: Experience in a school or mental health setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, crisis management, and problem-solving skills. A passion for supporting student success.
