Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Clovis, NM. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists to support students with diverse needs, helping them achieve their functional goals and enhance their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans and interventions for students.
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to promote skills in daily living, sensory processing, and motor development.
Monitor and document student progress, providing updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Maintain and organize therapy equipment and materials.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and progress.
Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and relevant legislation.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current certification as a COTA from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico.
Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
