Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join a school district in the Lawrence, Massachusettsarea. This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' physical development and well-being within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students with special needs, in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Assess and evaluate students motor skills, mobility, and physical functioning.
- Develop and implement therapeutic intervention plans to improve students physical capabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adapting interventions as necessary.
Qualifications:
To apply, candidates must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of MA.
- Experience working in a pediatric or school setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and therapy documentation.
- Ability to pass a background check as required by the district.
- CPR certification and any other necessary district certifications.
