Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Deliver therapy sessions in individual and group settings to address speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Provide recommendations and resources to help students achieve their educational goals.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Alabama SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP preferred).
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet Alabama state requirements, including background checks and other certifications as required.
