School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in providing exceptional services to students in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will support students' communication and language development needs to help them succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique communication needs.
- Provide therapy services, including one-on-one and group sessions, in accordance with established goals and educational plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to create supportive learning environments that facilitate communication growth.
- Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and reports to monitor student development and make data-driven decisions.
- Educate staff and families on communication strategies to reinforce skills outside of therapy.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress, strategies, and modifications.
- Assist with the prevention, assessment, and treatment of literacy and communication delays.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Active state SLP license or eligibility to obtain appropriate licensure for the state of practice.
- School-based experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills to work effectively within educational settings.
- Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and deliver data-driven interventions.
