Full-Time School Social Worker Willimantic, CT (2024-2025 School Year)
Blazerworks is partnering with a school district in Willimantic, CT, to hire a passionate and qualified School Social Worker for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position where you will make a meaningful impact by supporting students' emotional, social, and academic well-being.
Position Overview:
As a School Social Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Providing direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students.
- Developing and implementing intervention strategies to address behavioral and social challenges.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success.
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized support plans for students in need.
- Connecting students and families with community resources and support services.
- Supporting crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
- Advocating for students to ensure they receive the appropriate services and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
- Active Connecticut School Social Worker certification.
- Experience working in a school setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
