Position Overview:
As a School Psychologist in Westland, you will have a significant role in supporting students' academic and emotional development. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and develop interventions tailored to the unique needs of students. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals, you will work to create a nurturing environment that fosters student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Psychological Assessments: Administer comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and academic development.
- Intervention and Support: Create and implement evidence-based interventions for students with academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
- Collaboration: Work closely with educators, school administrators, and families to ensure students receive the support they need for academic and personal growth.
- Crisis Management: Provide immediate support in crisis situations, offering counseling and assistance to students in need.
- Professional Development: Engage in professional growth opportunities to stay current with best practices in school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field.
- Licensure: Active Michigan state licensure as a School Psychologist (PPS Credential or equivalent).
- Experience: Experience in providing psychological support to students in a school setting is preferred, especially with K-12 students.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, compassionate approach to student care.

- Location: Onsite at schools in Westland, MI.
- Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 employee status.
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, offering a consistent and manageable work schedule.
