Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position in Folcroft, PA. This exciting opportunity is for a school-based role with an immediate need for a dedicated professional to join the team.
Position Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in this role, you will provide high-quality speech therapy services to students within a school setting. You will work closely with students, families, and the school team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students speech, language, and communication needs.
Job Duties Include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for students, including screenings and diagnostic evaluations.
- Developing individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to each student's needs.
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions to address a variety of communication disorders.
- Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure effective treatment plans and progress.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate student records, including progress notes and treatment reports.
- Assisting in the development of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and attending IEP meetings.
- Providing guidance and support to parents and teachers regarding speech and language development.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and staying current on best practices in speech therapy.
Qualifications:
- A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania (or eligible for licensure).
- Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently, managing caseloads and therapy sessions effectively.
