Position Requirements
Applicants must meet the following local and state qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist License (or eligibility to obtain).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered.
- Current PA Department of Education Teaching Certification or ability to obtain.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and comply with state and district guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address student needs.
- Providing direct therapy services to students individually or in groups.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create strategies that promote communication and learning.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing training and resources to staff and families regarding speech-language support.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
