Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated School Occupational Therapist to join a school district in Prospect Park, PA. This is a full-time contract position with opportunities for contract renewal based on performance.
Job Description:
As a School Occupational Therapist, you will assess and provide therapeutic interventions to help students with physical, motor, and sensory challenges in the school setting. You will work with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure students have the resources and support needed for success.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and create treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create individualized goals.
- Document therapy sessions and student progress.
- Support students in accessing their educational environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
- PA Occupational Therapy license or eligibility.
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with students who have autism spectrum disorders.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and sensory integration techniques.
