Position Requirements:
- Licensing: Applicants must hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Illinois.
- Certification: Must meet all local and state certification requirements for a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Technology Proficiency: Must be familiar with various technology platforms that support remote teaching and therapy services (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, telehealth platforms, etc.).
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
As a remote Speech Language Pathologist, your role will include:
- Providing Services: Deliver speech and language therapy services to special education students via virtual platforms.
- Assessments: Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language skills.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs for students, focusing on improving their speech and language abilities.
- Collaborating: Work with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure the success of students and their IEP goals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and progress reports for students.
- Professional Development: Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices and educational technology.
