Responsibilities
As an Early Intervention SLP, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication delays in young children.
- Developing and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) tailored to the unique needs of each child.
- Providing direct therapy services to children in individual or group settings, focusing on early communication and language development.
- Collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to support developmental goals and strategies.
- Offering training and resources to parents and caregivers to encourage language and communication growth at home.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of services, progress, and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in early intervention or pediatric settings is highly desirable.
- Understanding of IFSP development and the early intervention process.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with families and multidisciplinary teams.
