Position Overview
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, including those with special education needs. As a school-based SLP, you will play a key role in improving students' speech, language, and communication skills, helping them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Job Requirements
- Must meet all qualifications and requirements set by local and state regulations to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), behavior management, and therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
Typical Job Duties
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in a one-on-one or group setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students' communication needs.
- Document student progress and maintain records as required by school and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to discussions on student progress and goals.
- Provide support and strategies to teachers to assist students in the classroom setting.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state education and speech-language regulations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay rate: $38$44 per hour, paid weekly via direct deposit.
