Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students' strengths and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for students with emotional, social, or academic challenges.
- Provide direct counseling services to students as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive learning environments.
- Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings, contributing expertise in psychological assessments and interventions.
- Assist in the development of strategies to address behavioral and learning challenges.
- Conduct crisis interventions and support students during emergencies.
- Promote mental health awareness and advocate for student needs within the school community.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (required).
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist License (required).
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education and school psychology practices.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
