Position Overview: As an SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children. Youll work closely with educators, parents, and a multidisciplinary team to provide the best support possible for each students unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide direct therapy to students and monitor their progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom setting.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan.
- Must meet all federal and state requirements for licensure and certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families.
