Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced School Social Workers (LCPC or LCSW) for a full-time position with school districts in Frederick, MD. This is a fantastic opportunity for a licensed professional to support students mental health and well-being in a dynamic school environment.
Requirements:
To apply for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Active Maryland State Social Worker license (LCPC or LCSW)
- Masters degree in Social Work or related field
- Experience providing counseling and support services in a school or educational setting preferred
- Ability to pass background checks as required by state and local regulations
- Valid Maryland Driver's License (if required for travel between campuses)
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address mental health and behavioral issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized plans for students' social-emotional and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to support students' well-being
- Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide support during emergencies
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop effective strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on social-emotional goals and interventions
- Provide training and resources to school staff on social-emotional learning and mental health awareness
- Serve as a liaison between the school and community resources for additional student support
