Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy and support to students with speech and language disorders. In this role, you will work to improve communication skills that are critical for students' academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with communication difficulties.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure that therapy goals are aligned with students' educational needs.
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and staff on strategies for supporting students with speech and language challenges.
- Track and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy goals as needed.
- Lead and participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and set new goals.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- California Speech-Language Pathologist License (or ability to obtain).
- Experience working with students in a school setting, particularly with speech and language disorders.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
