Job Description:
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in the Burbank School District for the 2024-2025 school year. As an SLP, you will provide speech and language services to students, assessing and treating speech disorders and helping students develop communication skills that are essential for success in school and life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students speech and language abilities through assessments and observations.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech and language needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support students' communication needs.
- Track student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing students' IEPs.
- Provide counseling and guidance to students and families regarding communication development.

Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Illinois State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
