Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role within a dedicated school district in Tinley Park, IL. Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Possess a valid Illinois state SLP license.
- Hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement (required).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred; Clinical Fellows (CF) are also encouraged to apply.
- Pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide expertise in speech-language development.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology to ensure high-quality services.
