Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified and passionate Full-Time School Social Worker to support a school district in McHenry, Illinois. This role is designed for professionals committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of all backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to students through counseling and intervention plans.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and address barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to create individualized intervention strategies.
- Support IEP teams with goal setting and implementation of social-emotional objectives.
- Act as a resource for families, connecting them with community-based supports and services.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in school-based social work.
- Familiarity with Illinois special education processes, including IEPs and 504 Plans.
