Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
BlazerJobs is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Richmond, IL. This full-time position will focus on providing speech and language support to elementary students (K-5th grade). The SLP will work closely with a diverse group of students, including those with speech and language impairments, to support their communication development and academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy services for students in grades K-5 with speech and language impairments.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), and implement therapy plans tailored to students needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to track student progress and adapt interventions.
- Serve as a consultant to staff and families on speech and language development, providing recommendations for classroom strategies and support.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all therapy sessions, progress notes, and IEP goals.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and progress.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Illinois SLP licensure (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience working with elementary-age children (K-5) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development, with experience in assessment and treatment planning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Schedule & Compensation:
