Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district in the McHenry, IL area to hire a Full-Time Social Worker for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is within a special education setting, where the Social Worker will play a key role in supporting students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services to students in a special education environment, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to create and implement strategies that promote positive behavior and academic success.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' emotional development.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that helps students reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
- Must hold the required state licensure and certifications (please list the specific credentials when applying).
- At least one year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Experience working in a special education setting is strongly desired.
