Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role within school districts in the South Lyon, MI area. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities through screenings and formal assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to create supportive learning environments.
- Track and document progress, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and actionable insights to support students' educational goals.
- Address a variety of communication challenges, including language delays, articulation disorders, fluency issues, and social communication deficits.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
- Michigan State Speech-Language Pathologist license (required).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
- Ability to meet all background check requirements as determined by the school district.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
